H.M. Brain Slicing Begins

H.M.'s brain undergoing slicing

By Patrick Rogers

A few months ago, Henry Molaison, the infamous amnesiac patient H.M. passed away. As part of his final contribution to science, the UCSD Brain Observatory began slicing his brain yesterday. The Brain Observatory is live-streaming the cutting (which should last into tomorrow). They also have a blog about the project.

You can read the Union Tribune article about the project: H.M. Recollected: Famous amnesic launches a bold, new brain project at UCSD.
